Do you have items that you would like to have others upload?
Maybe you are a congregation and you are working to put different
pictures up on your website. The problem is that the pictures are
spread out between different people in the congregation. Having
each person bring in their photos and scanning them would take a large
amount of time. It is for situations like this that the Caravel
team created the Public Uploader, which allows the public to upload
files to a specific file on your Caravel site.
1. From the Add Block Menu on the Edit Column/Header/Footer bar, choose Add Feature.
2. Choose PublicUploader.
3. Choose a destination where you would like the files saved that
the public uploads. Only people with access to your website can
change this location. Then, set the location as default.
4. You have now set up your Public Uploader. When you log
out you will see the Public Uploader with the field for Destination
gone and only the Upload File available.
5. Tell your public about this feature and save yourself hours of uploading!
